Suddenly, I awake
If I ever filled my vocabulary
with anything other than nonsense
I wouldn’t know
I’ve told the tale of lost souls
That transcended time
A couple times, yes
It was a time warp
of unfortunate events
That made the hatter mad
Was the rabbit hole ever that deep?
I wouldn’t know such fortunate events
As days turn to nights
the white turns to red
It was all just a fright
it was all in my head
My head…
She took my head…
painted those roses red
what a silly thing to do
Am I dead?
Was it…all in my head?
Red…it’s all red
Not white, not green, not blue
Just…red
it’s all in my head
Time is up
Farewell I tell my friends
Hands surround me from each side
they lay me gently to bed
Mad…I’ve gone MAD
They told me as I lay in my gown
“You won’t feel a thing” I heard
And suddenly I’m fast asleep
