the smell of something

Luke Bensing

The smell of something dead

Faintly floating in and then

Quickly out again

Hold your breath

To protect from offense

But smell brings back memories

They say

More than the other senses

They say

Defenses

retenses

Distrusting

Nostalgia may rearrange memory

I loved the last line that holds so much meaning. Yes indeed nostalgia mar rearrange memory and often does. Nicely done
