Smiling into the Wind
The rippling shimmer,
Of a breeze on water.
A bench across the water,
Begs for a silent visitor.
Turtles as green as water,
Paddle silently by her.
With one earbud in,
She sits and writes.
The words flow out,
As thick as honey.
A lock of brown hair falls,
Onto her thoughtful face.
Brushing it back,
She smiles into the wind.
Dreaming to one day,
Share her own poems.
With a sweet boy,
That God sent just for her.
