Ghost of love

OA Poetry

I felt you slipping away

in the silence between our words,

where laughter used to linger

like light on morning glass.

Your eyes still met mine,

but only out of habit,

a ghost of love rehearsing

what it used to mean.

Laughter between words, replaced by silence. Intuition expressed cleverly. Nice one!

This poem has such a familiar feel to it. It seems that I have read it before and that its words feel like home. Nicely done
