BRICK WALL

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The brick wall
That surrounds you
Surrenders not
To night or day
It does not subside
In alcohol
Or the words
I may say.

The wall you built
To protect you
Has become the prison
You do not see
It chases everyone away
In solitary you will be.

So true indeed. Poetic words of wisdom. incarcerated in an institution of one's own building. Nicely done
