The Encounter

Sree

I was walking down a lonely street,
So hazed, so hollow, so incomplete.
Shadows of dark belonged everywhere,
I couldn’t see a thing , just empty air.

Somewhere it was too dark , or maybe just thought,
But something mysterious lingered, unsought.
Everything whispered, soft and unclear,
And I was trembling, frozen with fear.

I don’t know what I saw that night,
Something from the sky , a falling light.
It came down near, before my view,
A spaceship, maybe , I never knew.

It called my name to come inside,
And I walked forward , I couldn’t hide.
I stepped within that shining glow,
And what I found... I still don’t know.

Everything there was strange, unreal,
Too alienic for me to feel.

A fun poem that may contain an element of truth. Any entity that has sufficient intelligence to do space travel would be too advanced for us to comprehend and too foreign for us to understand. Well written
