A stripper he liked....

Kenny O'Donnell

A stripper he once knew
and liked
called him
He answered immediately
But had enough mind
To turn off the porn
On the TV
And not seem to desperate
As he said
“Heeeyy” as cool
As he could.

She asked how he was
“Oh you know - living the dream”
And she said she was bored
And fancied a chat
And hadn’t spoken to him in a while
And she wasn’t a stripper anymore
“Really?”
“No I’m a hooker now”
“Oh Really?” he said wondering
How to find out her rates.
“Yeah I needed to get out
Of there, none of the guys were any good”
“What are your new clients like?”
“Well they mostly just want to talk
And to cry. They don’t actually want
To Fuck me”
“Really, That’s a surprise”.
“Easy Money” she said

And somewhere within him
Perhaps in his heart
More likely his cock
He weeped
But not in the climactic
Way he would have liked.
Because she’d rather watch
Grown men cry
Than take his money
And make him smile.
