I tried to understand

Maplespal

I sat speaking to an empty room,
trying to go through some things I assume.
At the walls my words I formed and I threw,
echoes hid the needed sights from my view.
Followed the waves the echoes spread,
they confused my view, misheard what I said.
Rabbit holed my vision downward went,
clarification of assumptions lost intent.
Then I gave the moment and silenced my thought,
stood myself and left that thinking spot.

A confusing place that I have been before. Lovely lines grace this poem with wonderful rhyme and easy flow. Nicely done and a fave

It's so hard when the only thing we can do is speculate on the reasons why...well done!
