The Invader of my Cave

NinjaGirl

The dust on the ground collected on its shoes

When it finally reached the entrance, it didn't hesitate

Practically running into the dark abyss

It ignored the cold, it ignored the warning signs

It went deeper, past the caution tape and into passages unmarked

Like an infection it went wild, slipping into the tightest places

The complex cave being navigated by an inexperienced it

An it that craved adventure, torture, but not for itself

It so quickly entered, but it was years before they noticed it was in there.

And removing it is a process to take many years.

Ah deep and metaphorical a double difficulty. It speaks of gradual but insidious invasion and the difficulty of extraction. Is it indoctrination? Well written NinjaGirl
