I walk with echoes
footprints not only mine
but of ancestors
who dreamed me alive.
Every choice,
a seed in the soil of tomorrow.
May my legacy stand,
so my children will say:
we are the dream
that never died

- Comment from author about the poem: I wrote “Footprints of Tomorrow” as a quiet reflection on how deeply connected we are: to the people who came before us and to those who will follow after. Sometimes I think about the fact that I’m here because someone, long ago, dreamed of a better life or simply kept going when it was hard. Their courage shaped my path, just as my choices will shape someone else’s. This poem came from that feeling, of walking with gratitude for the ones whose footprints made mine possible, and with hope that I, too, can leave something kind and enduring behind.
