THE SPINE OF REJECTION

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The meloncholy
Within a word
The tear that falls
Its pain unheard
Heartaches touch
With fingers stretched
The spine of rejection
Solitude too much.

Coloured blossom
In Winter dies
Its pinkened face
Laced in lies
Its warm embrace
In Summer sun
Its nodding head
Now does shun.

Arms outstretched
Too bold to hold
The vibrant body
Now grows cold
Its sensual gaze
Now is lost
Alone in thought
Emotion crossed.

The rhyme scheme woven with short lines and flowing thought make for a wonderful poem. Nicely done
