What death would say to me

NinjaGirl

"it's okay I'll die one day and it will all be over"

I shouldn't

have

to comfort

myself

with the promise

of death...

It's okay my dear

I'll take you in

For your eternal rest

I'll protect you

On your way

to the next life.

But just wait

your time will come

enjoy it before my visit.

A dark read where thoughts of ending things come before enjoying them. I always thought, what if what comes makes this the best of what there is. A sobering poem

Ha, ha! Thank you, I often find myself saying the first line as a way of comfort...

Dark...and been there! I love the format too! It really conveys the conversation between you and death. Well done on this, all around! Total 🥷 poet move in my opinion! Rock on, my friend. A fave!

You are most welcome, my friend! I am not sure how designing that felt to you...but I find I love the risk taking with format. A little nerve racking when I am not sure it will be pulled off, but that is half the fun! LOL! Again, loved this a lot!
