I'm here to ease your pain
To ward off old memories
I lied to you and said it would all be okay
I poisoned you day in and day out
I stripped you of everything you once had
I snuffed out your life in a bed
Some wonder why you are not dead
I put an end to the dreams you once chased
And etched regret across your face
I was privy to your hidden anguish
Then begged you back to me for more
You lost yourself to feed my name
You bear my mark, and it shames you
I flourished as you declined
Where the veil between worlds is thinnest
You try to leave - i lower you back
I dressed my chains in methamphetamines
I told you love was found in me -
Then gloated as I watched you fall to your knees
You have to pay the piper if you want to dance
A piece of you, forever lost
And though you fight, you know it's true
I live because I live in you
