Hope

szl

She sees it at the corner of my eye

A slight twinkle she can’t help but despise

Yet she shifts accordingly to catch a clear gaze,

It’s consistent in calling her name.

An act for the helpless when all’s been tried

Yet she fights it, claiming to not know why.

Hope, as light as a feather, yet it hosts heavy wings

It seems so little, but to bear it takes courage

Well put in metaphor the issue of hope and how it is so difficult to get off the ground. A lovely write

And it does! Hope does indeed take courage...it's not so simple, to "just be hopeful," it certainly requires some effort. Well done
