Nothing young can stay

Kayla Jackson

Some loves can never truly be lost;

they linger in silent rooms

 and in faded photographs.

So we must cherish the light we have

while we can still hold it,

For nothing young can stay.

    This poem required multiple readings due to the last line that provoked different thoughts each time read. Nicely done

      Thank you! I wrote it with a young love in mind, but I am glad it can be seen for more than that!
