The waves hit the shore amain
Pulverising the rocks which lay
Aimlessly thinking
about the endlessness
of their pain
In the rocks was written her fate
"She shall never cross the gates
She is the wallflower of her age
Others will be loved
Others will catch the stars
Others will sail the sea
Fish golden rings
Run to the west
And catch every sunset
But 'tis her fate
To remain astray
To get lost in a tempest
While sailing far away
Drown and wake up
In an inundated cage"
But 'tis her fate
So she paces the rocks
She paced since she was born
She collects shells at sea
Hangs them on her wall
Or threads them onto a string
Spreads out her matting
Reposes in the sand
Staring directly at the sun
She waves at the gulls
And at ferrys that happen to pass
At night
She indulges in reveries
Her wishes are the ones of the kid
She always hides and never reveals
For her heart remains an abyss
No one ever wants to see
And shield
Even when she begs
And pleads
She no longer complaints
For she now knows
'Tis her fate
To hie lorn
And find haven in God's home
