SOLITUDE

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

A distant echo
Between heartbeats
A long road
Without an end
A strange place
Unknown features
A crooked fence
A message sends.

The wheat field sways
Upon a carpet
Wind aided
Church bell rings
Deep within
The deeper thought
Of the weather vane
Which sings.

An idle longing
In its motion
Twisting right
Then to the left
Forming circles
In the light mist
Of the minds
Companionship bereft.
