Ghosts

Gewar

When you're with me,
Are your demons here with us?
‘Cause when I see you,
I feel the ghost of my past.
And it's screaming,
Afraid of hope and broken trust.
We're both entangled,
Chained to our history, traumatized.
We love each other,
But sometimes love isn't enough.
When scars are healing,
We're scared to bleed where we are touched.
Do you know?
Can you tell me where to go?
It will hurt.
It will tear us both apart.

We all carry our demons with us hidden or not. When we are injured it is hard to trust. A lovely poem
