To Marlene Dietrich by Alexander Vertinsky

Ksey_Gan

It's not hard to love you, hay.

I just have to be a little brave,

To endure all, not to rush into battle,

And not to cry over such a fate total.

Oh-oh-oh-yahl!

I  have  always  to bring roses,

And always be in love poses,

Not to be sad, not to be jealous,

Smile humbly and sigh obviously.

I  have to idolize you so proud,

Praise your films out hearty loud,

And watch then twenty times,

Like an actor kissing you fin

Casually hugging you tight…

Goodbye!

To wait for you, don't try to sleep,

Do not t check the phone memory.

Don't poke my nose into your "business,"

Pestering: "Where have you been , princess?”

("And what business is it of yours?")

And when, in the early morning,

You show up home, angry- burned,

I will'nt climb out onto the porch,

Make a sweet face. light torch.

Shut up, Zhuzhu, don't bark-cry!

Goodbye!

Having lived like this for three years,

Lose my "esprit," completely there

Growing old ten hard years

And remain only a friend?..  Never!

That some stupid scoundrel,

Stepping hard on my tender tail,

Started playing my role fine

And be jealous you to person my

No. It’s  better  at the right time,

Slowly to cock the trigger tight,

And say to love: "Farewell, mine!”

Goodbye...
