That's not me.

ViolenceEndeavour

When I look in the mirror
It isn’t me I see,
It’s a thousand shattered pictures
Of my broken reality.
I avoid the reflections
Just to keep it all inside,
Stay together and not fall apart,
left to be taken by the tide.

Unable to see myself as a human,
Something like that won’t suit me.
Not when I can’t love like you can
Not when I can’t see like you see.

Nobody is like me,
Or maybe I’m not like them
I’ll pretend to fit in .
Just depends if I can..

  • Comment from author about the poem: Well I suppose this ones self explanatory but here: I wrote this because of my tendency to put on an act Infront of others, despite my alienation to humans. Even though this one has a set subject, I still think it's nice for people to come up with their own opinions.
