Excerpts from "The Coffee Machine"

DeadRose

Notice of absence from DeadRose
Time travelling. Will be around sporadically.

But…

To  balance your dreams
against a routine
that seems to stifle,
is challenging.

---

...Coffee School then Work and sleep
Could we have a life beyond routine?
have you forgotten the call of the morning dove?
The sun when it rises in a spectacle of colors?
Or do you find comfort in washing everything away
blending into a grey.

Do you know what you have done with your time?
Have you considered parting the curtain of life for just one small moment-

The dove no longer sings for you
And what have you done all these years?

Loosing one's focus from the beauty around us leaves us in a routine and blind to all that there is to enjoy. Nicely expressed
