The world a distant hum

Kayla Jackson

Sitting alone,

the world a distant hum,

subdued by darkness

yet reveling in the light,

where private thoughts

are free to softly come,

soothed by the silence

and enriched by the night.

Where distance sings a lovely tune

and whispers scream of loneliness.

This poem calls to the reader from the shadows. It speaks softly and seductively with allure. Nicely done
