Untitled {15}

Niko Papadatos

Long roads take me there,

Small talks push us away,

Our mission and purpose, our reason and vision, my illusion and delusion,

Is that nature awaits, its call lures my name, and its harvest dues the date,

After coming back, from a long days work, tilling the land by my hands,

Long roads will take me back,

And small talks will push us there.

    There is a circularity and feeling of security and peace that goes with this poem. It is lovely and warm with a nostalgic feel of good old days. Loved it
