Untitled {16}

Niko Papadatos

How come I have not noticed the beautiful shine of your eyes,

Or the pleasant sound that you make when you talk,

And the subtle hands that make me laugh.

The golden light that your hair adopts when the sun kisses its surface,

Or the growing passion that I have to be with you every passing second.

My heart is wrecked with the love for you embrace,

My mind flies lost in the vast landscape of your gaze,

The flow of my blood speeds as I write about thee,

My rearranging words try to fit into what you might think,

Understanding you is understanding our purpose,

Loving you is loving the dis purpose,

Holding you is a gift reserved to me,

Kissing your lips is a pleasure that outweighs bliss,

Your imperfections are perfect,

and your perfections are ever present,

oh my love, my life has been drawn to portray a life with thee,

put up in the most illuminated place in the museum of my guarantee,

My life, I want you to know,

That at the end,  the only things left is for me to say to the world… universe,

is that I love thee,

I want to grow old with thee,

I want to laugh and cry with thee,

I want to dance in the breeze and scoop out my heart unto thee.

I, will take you, for my lawful second half, I will have and hold our love from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poor, in sickness and health, not even until death do us part. I will promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love and honor you all the days of my life.

A poetic question that deserves a response. Nicely worded in positive terms it cries out "What is wrong?" Nicely written
