Theres sweat upon
The t shirt
Of the worker
In the street
While men in suits
Preach policy
From the tv screen
They screech.
The politicians
With expense accounts
High wages
Yearly salary rise
While hard workers
Visit foodbanks
High prices
Steadily rise.
Work harder
Cut the deficit
They caused
In the first place
Its always laid upon
The poorest
Give them
A decent wage.

It is the heart of capitalism to exploit the worker, that is where money is made. As long as there is greed there will be inequity. A thought provoking poem leading me to the thought that equality is likewise unfair when one's investments and labor's are not rewarded. Now we are back to where we started. Thanks for getting the mind started this morning
thanking you as always comments much appreciated
You are most welcome
Yes, and though we may like quiz shows, where does the money come from for the prizes? Is it true - the poor get poorer and the rich get richer?
yes the rich get richer and poor get poorer its the way it is in the uk, it could all be solved by chasing the super rich who avoid paying their fair share of tax. thanking you for reading its much appreciated
Well, a certain Mr Dodd couldn't take it with him when he popped his clogs!
thats so true
You got any under your mattress there?! lol.
penniless poet lol
Well put, this bunch of politicians who have never run businesses tell business how things should be done and then they wonder why the country is going down the drain.
they are all the same, living in their own bubble, thanks for reading, much appreciated
yes this is a true reality check indeed, and I do not expect any changes soon, in most of the countries unfortunately. those who did turned to communism or socialism - which again have their merits and demerits...
correct and soundly put, thanks for reading much appreciated
glad to have read it - will be waiting for many more, so have a productive time ahead
