Am I what if

2781

Am I,  what if?

You know I love you, don't let me stumble on the truth,

I need my first love, without you there's no knowledge, without you there's no proof.

Guide me through the pages, in them, you gave me life,

So why should it be outrageous, if you strip the dross away?

But if I have fallen,  please, let me still praise your name...

For your fame and fortune, I am alive today,

Catch me if I'm falling, take away my shame.

For you alone knows the truth, all I can do is cry.

Can flesh and blood be holy?

I know that you can't lie.

But who can come close,  your beauty's beyond compare...

Nothing can match you, Prince's bow down.

In a moment I despair.

My Spirit, I send to guide you, in what to do and say...

Let Him be your perfection, there is no other way.

Remembering from where I have fallen:

In returning to our first love;

To find contentment in the breast, where all hearts beat as one.
