Society is a tailor with a sinister hand,
upcycling old clothes as a new brand.
Rags of taboo and tatters of shame
are now couture with a fancy name.
Scandals parade in sugar‑daddy style,
sequins of sparkle, embroidered with guile.
Silver foxes stride the glamour runway
abuse refashioned as models sashay.
Boy toys are accessories rare
cougar chic with debonair flair.
Consent's thread has opened up seams
and lined desires into tunic's gleam.
Lust and temptation are counterfeit.
choice is the garment cut to fit.
Cheating is just a flaw in the weave,
patched with excuses that clients believe.
Sex before vows is a designer art
labelled freedom, cut clean from heart.
Body count are the dresses in trial
Promiscuity folded in the atelier’s pile.
The tailor sits with needle in his hand
a measuring tape and a thimble.
Sewing moral gowns, tuxedos of sin
and tags to make vice look simple.

- Comment from author about the poem: The poem can be considered politically incorrect, I am not an authority on morality but I just want to ask- what do we normalize when we glamorize? Is giving fancy names EMPOWERMENT?

There are a few characteristics that human's possess and those are lust and greed. Capitalism thrives on them with top sellers being sex, power, wealth and fame. A lovely poem that emphasizes at least one if not more of these. Well done
