PTSD

Laguna

I look away and they run at me in my peripheral vision,

They’re relentless and I’m wondering what I did to piss them off,

One after another trickling in but I look up and nothing’s there.

No weapons on me but it wouldn’t have made a difference,

My screams stand no chance against their motivations,

And it’s uncertain if I’d even fight back to save my life.
