“You know me...
“I aim to please”—
Like a disease.
Always unease—
Limburger cheese—
Fragarant tease.
The scent of seize
And puking lees
On one’s own knees.
From prayer to sneeze.
Saint Expertise.

Tristan this poem seems to have been written with ease like a gentle breeze the mind does seize and by degrees the heart does please. Well done my friend
Yes, indeed. This one just kind of rolled off the fingers, so-to-speak! A little more pleasant of an experience than the Limburger cheese may indicate, but hey...even flowing poetics can't keep the stink down forever! ๐คฃ Thank you, Soren! I am glad you found this to have a pleasing flow my friend. Much appreciated! ๐ง๐๐๐ฅ
You are most welcome Tristan
Stunning poem. The theme appears to be rare- the disease of compulsive pleasing. Very thought provoking. A wonderful write.
Thank you, my dear friend. And yes, the compulsion to please rarely leads one to better cheese wheels, so-to-speak! ๐คฃ This, of course, can apply to an individual as well as to systems that aim to please over standing for what's right. Either way, you nailed this! Thank you so much for your time and insights! Always appreciated my friend! ๐ง๐๐๐ฅ
Dang it! We know someone who has expertise. In what? Don't answer that! lol.
We sure do, and we can affirm he ain't not saint! Well, unless you can be sainted for glugging! LOL!
With a yo-ho-ho and a heave-ho-ho - says P. But don't answer this - what is he heaving? lol.
Swoon....!
Wow cool fun poem in nice monorhyme. Thumbs up.
Plz also read and comment on my newest poem
Thank you, my friend. Much appreciated. Glad it delivered! ๐ง๐๐๐ฅ
Geez, Louise. An excellent piece of you please๐๏ธ๐๐ป
Achoo! Achoo!
Pardon the sneeze!
I had to let it out
Or I would wheeze.
Thank you kind sir,
You read with ease
And comment wellโ
This moment I freeze! ๐ง๐๐๐ฅ
I may have many faults and one or two health problems, but (and feel free to correct me if you feel the need) I don't think a compulsion to please is one of them!
Great smooth read, Tristan.
Who am I to correct you Dave? We all have both our strengths and our weaknesses. ๐คฃ That said, I am glad that it is not one of your compulsions because it is an impossible, soul-sucking, endeavor that took me far too long to overcome! Alas, though, better late than never to join you over here on the sensible side! ๐คฃ Thanks for reading and I am super glad it delivered, my friend! ๐ง๐๐๐ฅ
