Politics
used to have
borders
Within which
the battles
were found
But now
those conflicts
spread far and wide
Running
friendships
and families aground
The baby
thrown out
with the bathwater
Noses
cut off
to spite every face
Civility
gone
fraternity pawned
With zero sum
outcomes
— in place

Time have gotten rougher and people more ugly in their responses. Another fun read Kurt
Thanks Soren. Happy Thanksgiving. My family is split down the middle — far left and far right.
You are welcome Kurt that should make for a most interesting table conversation. Do they sit on the right and left side of the table and eat only the right and left side of the turkey?
:-))) Since it's my dining room, they have been mandated to leave politics outside
the front door.
To think that the root word of politics is "polite". Does one 🤣 or 😭 at that? Regardless, great job, Kurt!
Yes, politics can be a machine gun in the wrong hands.
Probably why everyone's a politician now.
Amen, Religion too !
