You piss me off everytime you smile
What?
I said you piss me off with all that smilin’
His demon said
Umm I( caught off guard)
I laughed it off
He stole my joy
His demon satisfied
The smile I had now smothered by trembles
Fear over took my spirit
Its weird
I never knew I could lose my joy
When the sun rises my heart beats
A little too fast.
I dread the day
Mourn the night
And when I look at him
I see a smile that lights up the room
A spirit so loving
It almost reminds me of my reflection before I knew him.

A sad poem of joy suppressed, happiness stolen, love taken. It is brutal, oppressive, and dictatorial. It leaves a feeling of darkness. Well written
