OUR NIGHT

Will Kevin

The moon shines brightly from the sky
And dances beautifully on the lake surface
The fireflies are up high
And away the darkness they chase
The cold air brush against our skin
As it brings greetings from the night flowers
Fragrance so rich yet thin
One that could keep you trapped for hours
In the grass we lay
Trying to hide in the remaining darkness
As we talk about the day
And slowly drift into sweet forgetfulness
As we embrace our togetherness
