Immortalised Life

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Faith shouldn't be fragile, keep it more focused,

Fuck magic spells, I don't do the hocus pocus.

Immortalised in life but he died for us on the cross,

I don't idolise politicians, celebrities or a company boss.

Prepare for the end now, swear I'm ready for it God,

NPCs are boringly normal, I'd rather be strange or odd.

Torment the system, darkness to pure unfiltered light,

Break down the structure, pray that we'll be alright.

The Maccabees were taken out of the good book,

You might find that the Apocrypha is worth a little look.

You'll need something sharper to enter into my energy field,

That sword isn't sharp enough, I suggest that you just yield.

Nope, not magic or hocus-pocus, but a spot of slap and tickle? Yes?! lol.

A most interesting blend of the religious and the metaphysical and apocryphal. Nicely worded

    Powerful, well written.

Mate, you are getting very heavy lately. I like it, but feel I'm being left way behind....

My friend, this hits with conviction…the Apocrypha reference nails a truth people overlook, and I’ve felt that same pull toward what was erased. Martin Luther did some pretty important things, but separating and demoting the Apocrypha was a total “oopsie” on his part! LOL! Anywho, bold, sharp, and spiritually unfiltered. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Yes, Maccabees 'relegated' to the Apocrypha - where some unsure, spurious, maybe 'dodgy' etc verses and texts are - though a good read.
I can't remember. I have a separate copy of the Apocrypha - is E.T. in it? heehee.
