The knots.

Andrew Deaton

Dear God,

please untie the knots

in my mind,

my heart and my life.

Erase the have nots,

the can nots and the do nots

that are in my mind.

Erase the will nots,

may nots, and

might nots that you find

in my heart.

Release the could nots,

would nots and

should nots that block me in my life.

The most important, dear God,

I ask that you etase from my mind

my heart and my life all of the am nots

that block me,

especially the thoughts

that I am not good enough.

Amen.

Good write A. I'm not saying this is not a good poem, cos it is! You got me at it now - those 'nots'. lol.
Heehee there's the confusion of using double negatives, e.g. I've not got nothing - meaning I have got something. lol.

Clever word play make this poem the use of homophones works well. A knotty not it is indeed. Good advise as well in this prayer or supplication. Loved it a fave
