If I Die First

Ladywithaquill

If I die first honey, save my ashes,

To scatter on your grave.

Let my ghost, haunt your last breath.

Don’t move on or be brave.

If I die first, fill the oceans with your tears.

You loved a woman flawed and free,

Tell them about my dreams and fears,

Tell everyone why you grieve me.

Darling, I hope I die first,

Because I know what I’d want you to do,

But if you died first, my love,

I wouldn’t know how to live without you.
