Sparrow that flies
Sparrow that flies,
in search of love,
finding sustenance.
Birds that go flying.
Little birds that cheer me,
timid birds of happiness.
On earth and in sky.
Searching to live,
bird in search of life,
singing to encourage us.
Without asking anything,
they cheer us,
with the beauty of happiness,
those rare birds that bring joy,
knowing they are in the city.

GORRION QUE VUELA
Gorrión que vuela,
en busca del amor,
encontrando sustento.
Aves que se van volando.
Pajaritos que me alegran,
tímidas aves de la felicidad.
En la tierra y cielo.
Rebuscando para vivir,
ave en busca de la vida,
cantando para animarnos.
Sin pedir nada, nos alegran,
con la belleza de la felicidad,
esas raras aves, que dan alegría,
de saber que están por la ciudad.

Although this can be taken literally, I believe it is a metaphor. A metaphor for those people who can live amongst others even in crowded or dirty situations and still express joy. Very nicely written.
My poems are like an onion, they have many layers.
1) The reality: I see the sparrows that come to my little garden to eat what I put out for them; they sing, they eat, and they make friends...
2) The sparrows and other birds give me joy and happiness when I see them.
3) Despite the sorrows of life, the sparrows symbolize that to be happy, they don't need much: vegetation, food, and to be left in peace.
Thank you very much for flying so far to peer into the window of my poems in Madrid
You are most welcome. You might want to check an older poem of mine called Sparrow
Very well done, my friend! Joy is endless for those who have it, despite surroundings or circumstances. This poem expresses freedom and joy found even in places that feel claustrophobic, anxious, and fast-paced. Loved this a lot! I also love birds...so a double fave for me! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Sometimes, there are drops of happiness that fall like rain simply from knowing how to love and care for what we have around us, being kind to all the beings that surround us. Seeing them happy brings us happiness, even if just for a few precious moments.
Thank you so much for coming to look through my letters.
You are most welcome, my friend!
