Sparrow that flies /Gorrión que vuela

Carlos Alberto BUSTILLOS

Sparrow that flies

Sparrow that flies,

in search of love,

finding sustenance.

Birds that go flying.

Little birds that cheer me,

timid birds of happiness.

On earth and in sky.

Searching to live,

bird in search of life,

singing to encourage us.

Without asking anything,

they cheer us,

with the beauty of happiness,

those rare birds that bring joy,

knowing they are in the city.

GORRION QUE VUELA

Gorrión que vuela,

en busca del amor,

encontrando sustento.

Aves que se van volando.

Pajaritos que me alegran,

tímidas aves de la felicidad.

En  en tierra y cielo.

Rebuscando para vivir,

ave en busca de la vida,

cantando para animarnos.

Sin pedir nada, nos alegran,

con la belleza de la felicidad,

esas raras aves, que dan alegría,

de saber que están por la ciudad.

Although this can be taken literally, I believe it is a metaphor. A metaphor for those people who can live amongst others even in crowded or dirty situations and still express joy. Very nicely written.
