DESPAIR

Will Kevin

Driving away help
Even in the face of pain
Seems like a bad choice
Pointed out one who has never experienced hope
And it's distant but close cousin betrayal, but the scars
Inside my heart
Reminds me never to trust again

Well written, I think we all can relate to this. The poem explores the feelings of despair and mistrust that arise from past pain and betrayal. It reflects on the struggle between the desire for help and the instinct to push it away due to previous experiences of hurt.

The feeling is such a common one but an overreaction. Caution yes but to never trust is a burden to heavy to bear. Well written and so well done
