I witnessed
Angels without power
Who could
No longer fly
I saw their marble tears
Frozen to the sky.
Wings that fell
Helpless
In defeat and pain
The growling brow of Heaven
The sheer cosmos
Under strain.
Noble eyes
Now doubt the moment
Their shimmering light
Begins to fade
Slowly without reason
Downward in their pain.

Good write N. I tried being an angel, or The Birdman. I taped on some wings but fell off a cllliiifffffffff - do ya hear me falling there?! lol.
I heard the thud as you landed lol, thanks for reading, and dont fall again
Heehee. You ever tried being a Birdman?
yeh when I was a kid my mother stopped me jumping out of window with a bedsheet as a parachute
Ah good!
Wouldnt have done me any harm as long as I landed on my head
Lol.
It is the integral weaving of good rhyme, unusual vivid images (stone tears) and the messages sent that make this such a marvelous read and a fave
