question

Tristan Robert Lange

when they tell me
i need to speak

to someone

is that because
they’d rather

not hear

or is it fear
that clears
them away

from listening

Why, yes, they say the same to me. I ask 'Why?' They reply in one of two ways:
    (a) Cos you're a crashing bore and I can't stand listening to you when you get waffling over your photo albums yet again' (lol)
or (b) Cos you only talk about a certain fella and Co - and if I hear glugging once more, I will........ (heehee).

    • Tristan Robert Lange

Or (c): All of the damn above! hehehe! Let it glug, let it glug, let it...well...It technically works! 🤣

Oh no! That almost happened to me. A friend 'threatened' to get the photo albums out! lol.

        • Tristan Robert Lange

Nooooooooooooo! [in slow motion as the reach and pull for the photo album happens!]

A good question and well stated. The set up is who asks you to speak. Well done Tristan

          • Tristan Robert Lange

Why thank you, dear friend! Indeed! Glad it delivered and always appreciate your time and thoughts! 🪑🖤🙏🌫️

You are most welcome my friend

Yes, it's the palm off, and why guys don't share their problems.
21st century is a mental health nightmare that no one escapes from now, and I'm sure it's the barriers that prevent you moving forward, and the chancers on social media who live in cupboards but have opinions on everything.

              • Tristan Robert Lange

Paul, I hear you…the 21st-century mental health mess, the noise, the quick dismissals. I’ve felt that same wall when you just want someone to listen. Thanks for sitting with the piece. 🪑🖤🙏🌫️

All in one, Tristan. they’d rather not hear because of the fear which clears them away from listening. They'd rather not change but stay within range of what they think they know.
You make yourself too malleable by those unavailable to new ideas.🙃😊

                • Tristan Robert Lange

Dave, you name the whole truth here… the fear, the shutting down, the choosing of comfort over change. It’s why that question keeps echoing for me. Thank you for meeting the poem where it lives. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Question myself? Question existence? #?@$ that!

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

I know, right?!?! How dare anyone do that?!?!? 🤷‍♂️🤣 Thanks for getting it, my friend! Much appreciated! 🪑🖤🙏🌫️

Old McPopeye sings - here a glug, there a glug, everywhere a glug glug. Everywhere? Arghh! lol. I went to McPopeye's once - mistook it for McDonalds. It's Too Much Info to tell what happened. heehee. I should have spotted the sign saying: 'Under New Management; spinach a speciality'.

                    • Tristan Robert Lange

My friend Orchi… I’m crying over here. I swear the awful glugging was echoing in my ears before I even finished the line… and then that sign… ‘Under New Management; spinach a speciality’. There's not stopping him, is there? 🪑🖤🙏🌫️

                    • Teddy.15

LoL pass the buck, depends why they tell you to speak to someone, if they are refering to a shrink, I'm always available 🤣

                      • Tristan Robert Lange

Teddy, you made me laugh out loud… if they are referring to a shrink, I'm always available 🤣. Yup, pass the buck. I’m all for therapy…much needed in this world...but I think we’ve lost something when friends and family tap out instead of leaning in. We need both. Thanks for seeing through to the heart of it, as always, my dear friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
