What a star,
Feelings despite, shining bright,
So alien, so far.
Who, thou master?
The lord of such holy caster?
I feel the heat, I feel the bloom;
May it be dark, may it be doom.
She's the madness,
Yet someone of my virtue.
She's the only dream
I can't pursue.
I neglect,
I ignore,
But even in the silence,
My emotions offshore.
When the lanterns turn off,
When the clouds storm and rain,
I hope the heat helps me
Cure the yearn, the unforgettable pain.

- Comment from author about the poem: Not sure if you’ll like the allegory, but yeah :) I guess I’ll keep yearning for stars… not just stars.

It is a beautiful poem but the last line is haunting and a bit puzzling leaving me unsettled. I like this in a poem.
Thanks, I guess I’d already planned for the ending to be a bit complex.
