The other three

Maplespal

Let them be free, let me see the other sides of me.
Let me see the other three that are a part of me.
How could I be without the three I can not see,
internally we converse wherever we seem to be.
Let them be free, let me see those other three,
have them stand next to, behind, or in front of me.
Let me hear their not inside but outside voices.
Let my eyes have sideward motion back and forth choices.
Let me see the other sides of me.
Let the other three be free.

A poem that invites the reader to step back and see the other perspectives in who they are. I see one as self, the other of one's intimate family and friends, another of those we know for business, and the last those we don't know but pass on the street. Well that is my view. Nicely done

I like when you add to it. I wasn't even thinking of the roles we play in life. 3 is not enough for the roles. Unfortunately my thoughts were restricted to the "Me", "Myself", and "I". At all times we assume the role of one of those 3 when speaking internally to ourselves. So seeing them all outside would leave something, but what. How does one define what is left, when what should be all of you, now stand in font of you.
