Centerpiece

Soumya Singh

I waited in the rain
For a glimpse of your smile
For what should have felt like forever
Passed in no time

The sky softened at the memory
The wind whispered your name
And in that quiet moment
My heart found peace again

I followed every raindrop, every falling leaf..
Hoping one might lead to that feeling
All of my friends wonder who I’m seeing right now
Maybe one day they will realise i have been stuck on it

So let me reach for those heights
I’ll sail every sea
I have never been so in love like you did
I will dive every ocean
There’s none too deep

This love is my everything
My centerpiece
