Cocoon Phase

Chanel T.

Cocoon Phase

I am in my cocoon phase. But before I was settled in my cocoon, I was a caterpillar roaming this earth. Like a caterpillar I had pointy ends…picking up little things as I go….each obstacle weighing its own strength. In the end these little things all taught me something. They all built a stronger core for my cocoon. But I slowly became to heavy with issues I was to afraid to let go of….eventually everything just started to add on while suffocating me at the same time. I could finally see the light of growth ahead of me. I crawled until I was safely secured in my cocoon….all the little pieces of me drifting to the ground…..they had no room for the new path I was developing for.

Once I was free from the cocoon….I could breathe again….I could actually fly. But I was afraid…..hesitant….in deep thought I realized all the growth I just went through was too beautiful to hide away. So I fluttered  and soared my wings to fulfill my purpose. I felt alive….floating effortlessly. I’m free….I am one with my growth and truth. I’m ready to show the story of growth and endurance through the beauty of my neatly crafted wings of strength.
