Stop Signs

gray0328

Father, place offense across arrogance’s path.

Keep me steady, humble against rising tides.

Do not let my head rule my heart.

Show me wisdom where I see only fog.

Place stop signs on the way to pride.

Block roads leading to my selfish knowing.

Remind me the sky isn't my doing.

The stars belong to You, not hands.

Father, teach my feet to tread lightly.

Keep my gaze fixed toward Your plans.

Let my voice echo not for boasting,

But for the love You built in us.

I do not want to lead without grace,

Or carry the weight shaped like ego.

Show me the power in soft-spoken truths.

And anchor me always in Your light.
