Dame Justice

Aman 12

Dame Justice snores on a lounge,
gavel reduced to puppets scrounge.
She dreams of noble bribes galore,
But Truth will kiss her till she’s sore.

'Once she rises from slumber
crimes will dwindle in number.'
A fleeting hope in castles of sand
Justice will sleep in La La land.

I like this poem that is a metaphoric satire and twists and turns several times in its sleep. Lovely and a fave
