Love You Forever

Love You Forever

You’ve lived and loved, and now you are free

To fly above, knowing we’ll never forget you

We’ll love you forever, your babies we’ll be

You raised us well, all of us three

With your example: strong, kind, and true

You’ve lived and loved, and now you are free

Our house walls, our candles, our memories

Our photo albums all remind us of you

We’ll love you forever, your babies we’ll be

Though your life was difficult, you found glee

On hikes and at home you’d be smiling anew

You’ve lived and loved, and now you are free

You left your print, a warmth that never leaves

A joy we’ll cherish forever, from you

We’ll love you forever, your babies we’ll be

We’ll take care, nurture your babies

Your children, living angels sharing love from you

You’ve lived and loved, and now you are free

We’ll love you forever, your babies we’ll be

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is another poem for my Mom :) It's based on the children's story, Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. It's a story about the love between a mother and her child. My Mom would read it to me, singing the little song that repeats throughout the story. Slightly less sad, it focuses on letting her enjoy her freedom now, and letting her know that her family is doing well, and that we'll never forget her.
