Chalk Cliff

A piece of luggage

In the possible day
I walk past the sea
And I see us living there

Sometimes I feel
How the wall of chalk divides us
The edge of the world

I sit and think
Lighthouse to lighthouse, would you stay?
I'm afraid of the dark

Would you leave?
It's an end to a life worth living
But only with you and I

On that possible day
I walked past the sea
And I see a lone man living there

Isolated and bitter
Never parting the sea
Instead letting it swallow him
