LOVE IN THE DESERT

David Hopkins

We lay together in the cold at night

and your body keeps mine warm and safe.

So when the day comes to us again,

it makes me feel so wonderful to know

that i will , again, meet an evening with the cold ,

to feel that warmth that only you can give me.

Even when we ignight the fire to warm the room ,

still , i stay cold, until i have your warm body against mine,

and then i am albe to sleep once again.

So i will only ever sleep well when i am next to you my love.

you are the warm blanket that sends me to sleep.

your Love is so Warm in the Desert.

Desert nights grow cold just as their days grow hot. A lovely write that uses a great metaphor. Well done
