From Subject To Subject

Show me that you love me,

and I'll show you right back.

I promise. I'll love you forever,

and that is a fact.

For I am just a man,

whose intentions are good;

a man who tries his best,

to live like he should.

I'm saved through Christ's grace.

Still... I try to follow the ten.

... and if I happen to mess up,

then I just try not to do it again.

I believe and often say,

that for a Christian,

'life is one never ending prayer'.

I'll cross the finish line someday.

Until then, I won't say, 'Amen',

until I get there.

Becoming a Christian was the best,

and the worst decision I ever made,

but I'll stay true to the end,

because I know,

that Christ will always be there,

just like a true friend.

I am loyal like a dog,

but I am a slave to no one.

Should you ever want to part ways;

our relationship is done.

I like to laugh, and I like to have fun.

Would I like to have someone to laugh with? Sure...

Still... Not my will, but Your will be done.

Some things, I just let fall into place.

If it happens, it happens. That's great.

There are some things that I'll go after,

and some things: I just won't take the bait.

At any rate...

I'm not going to pray,

that I ever find a mate.

Rather, I'll pray,

that my small family's generation will grow,

and that they will be healthy and prosperous,

and that the fruits of my family's labor will show.

 Still... Through it all,

when nothing is clear;

Sometimes my faith is small.

Sometimes I have alot.

... but it is always here.

It's always been here,

from the start,

held closely as Christ guards my heart.

I sometimes ask,

'How did we get this far'?

Then I remember,

'It's not the people.

We are not that smart.

It is strictly a spiritual war'.

We are simply vessels.

We can either be a vessel for good and righteousness,

or we can be a vessel for evil.

I prefer the first.

That is the only true division.

Sigh...

So I call this piece, 'Subject to Subject'.

What shall I talk about next?

What else has me vex?

I'm sure that there is something else to talk about:

something that may have me perplexed.
