I dreamt of you throughout the night ,
Among the 'Dali - esque' landscape of jumbled thoughts ;
And you never noticed as in Life ,
My fondest wish for your notice sought.
And you had the fresh look of Years since flown ,
For Youth was sporting full dress ;
A Blazing Rose in a Song once known ,
Before the years with their Marring Suppress.
For as in Life you nor heed nor care ,
The Heart that aches in Shadows deep;
A Virtues lady so unaware ,
Of the Nightly Hours your presence treat.
Yes I dreamt of you throughout the night ,
Aloof and distant you seemed ;
A Shadowy figure, Wispy and Slight ,
Like a Shade bringing joy to a Wandering scene.

I love this poem that seems to have walked out a Willis collection from two hundred years ago. It has such a vintage feel to it and seems a period piece. It flows marvelously and its rhyme and near rhyme give it that finishing touch. A lovely work and a fave
Thank you. and for the fave.
You are most welcome
